What do you like best about Sage Intacct?

What I love about Sage is that there are so many things to do and lots and lots of features. I feel like you are always learning something new with this system. I love how easy it is to do my job and its fast and effective. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Sage Intacct?

What I like least about Sage is that there is so much to learn. I had to take alot of training classes in order to just use what I would use for my everyday job. This system unfortunately not be for everyone. I'm a super fast learner but even this was difficult to use starting out and was really confusing. Also, the trainers weren't very good to me. I learned alot just trial and error onmy own- playing around with the system. There is still so much for me to learn as well and it seems as though the learning never ends. I also do not think I have access to the customer support, I believe just our leadership does. Which means I have to reach out to multiple people in order to get help with something. What do you like best about Unanet GovCon?

First and foremost, the user interface is extremely user friendly and easy to pick up which is something I haven't been able to say for any of the time tracking tools I have used in the past. It's very clear to see a holistic view of your time period and all of the assignments you charged your time to. What do you dislike about Unanet GovCon?

It's difficult to see how much PTO or Vacation I have used. I would love to see that metric available always. In order to find that info, I have to run a report and manually calculate how much time I have charged to those categories. Having used NetSuite for several years, I've come to appreciate how it transcends the role of a traditional ERP and functions as a comprehensive business platform. NetSuite is not just a tool for accounting or operations; it's a central hub that integrates and streamlines all facets of our business activity. From financial management to supply chain operations, administrative tasks, and beyond, NetSuite offers a unified solution that empowers every department within our organization. What do you like best about Rillet?

Rillet has native integrations with Salesforce and Stripe, this allows us to have a clear picture of revenue by customer. I used to spend multiple days each month calculating that information, juggling between CSV downloads and complex formulae in several spreadsheets. Deferred revenue was a nightmare to parse. Now revenue by customer and deferred revenue calculations are all automated and a breeze to navigate within Rillet. Rillet's prepaid automation is super handy too. Ditching my Excel based supporting schedule for prepayments has been a boon to my month end processes. The Stripe reconciliation engine reconciles payouts and fees automatically. The Rillet team is rolling out new updates to the platform weekly, and it's been great to see how the product has evolved since we started working with them. What do you dislike about Rillet?

They don't have a native integration with one of our AP tools: the workaround is pretty straight forward with a CSV upload/download process that Rillet's engineering team customized for us, but I'm hoping they roll out a native integration at some point. The best part about Acumatica for us was the ability to access the system from anywhere. We went live in late March of 2019, right at the height of the pandemic. What do you dislike about Acumatica?

There is not much I can say I dislike. I could nitpick at a few minor features, but it would be doing a disservice to the platform. However, if I had to select one improvement I wish would be made, it would be the ability to generate production order from the inventory replenishment screen. What do you like best about Abound?

What makes Abound great is their powerful API. Their latest V3 API is very well-structured - the endpoints are intuitive, properly organized and not bloated. This made integration with our systems a breeze, there was much less technical overhead required on our end. Another major strength is their responsiveness to feedback and eagerness to improve - Abound reached out to us for feedback on their V2 API to identify the pain points and addressed all of them in the subsequent release, making our lives during the tax filing season much easier. What do you dislike about Abound?

Abound does an amazing job with their present day service offering - however, I would really like to see the catalog expand. Supporting more document types would allow us to use Abound as an all-in-one tax filing solution and not rely on multiple vendors. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What problems is Abound solving and how is that benefiting you?

We use Abound for our tax filing purposes, especially 1099 filing and the related TIN verification process.

When it comes to 1099 filing, we have been able to easily integrate their API with our core backend systems. This allows us to automatically file documents, handle corrections and voids with little to no manual work. As for the TIN verification service, it is very fast and straightforward to use, which helps us reduce the risk of errors and ensure compliance.

Prior to Kosh, we were manually reconciling finance transactions. Given our scale of operations, it was quite a tedious task. Using Kosh we have completely automated the reconciliation process but have also improved the other related workflows. The platform is quite configurable. From the beginning, it was easy to implement into my business and easy to integrate into my workflow. I am in Freshbooks at least once per day tending to my bookkeeping, following up on invoices or writing new proposals. It is an absolute necessity for my small business. What do you like best about ZarMoney?

The layout and screen navigation makes sense. For example I can go from entering an invoice for an existing customer to editing the customer file and back to the invoice with just a click or two. There is allowance to create and use some customized fields. We use the custom field feature for things like customer PO number, tracking number and our website order number. What do you dislike about ZarMoney?

It would help if some of the reports were a little more changeable to my particular needs. The reports are all the basic reports I need, just would like a little more flexibility when I want to do a little research. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

One of the biggest headaches with our old system was that a single customer could have only one ship-to address. Easy to use and fast tool. It took little time to setup (from an accounting standpoint) and works on all platforms (mobile, windows & mac). Since it's cloud-based, works from everywhere I go. What do you dislike about Kashoo?

The mobile app doesn't yet support businesses which have multiple currency transactions. This is something they're aware of and are working on. I've been using this for 9 years, new features are far between. I wish there were more external integrations, as well as a visual editor to produce custom styled invoices. Recommendations to others considering Kashoo:

Try it, you'll love it. Even if you're not well versed in accounting, the layout makes for easy management of your business accounting. For more complicated entries, I've simply relied on a quick call to an accounting firm and took care of the entry. So even more complex entries are well handled. Use the mobile application to understand the full potential of Kashoo. There's a new revamped version soon to be released that will include better dashboards and automated data entry, so look forward to this. Their online webinars are totally worth checking out. What do you like best about Bonsai?

Honestly, for the price I'm paying, the product is solid. I've had my gripes with their support team and some of the UI changes they've made over the past year, but overall, they're addressing a critical business function that's remained affordable even as my team has expanded. The ability to track my time and have the hours automatically populate into an invoice has been incredibly time-saving. Offering online payments while passing on fees to clients who choose that option has been a great feature as well. Overall, the templates and integrations have made the product very enjoyable to use, and it's become so essential that I actually take the time to reach out to customer support and provide feedback when things aren't working correctly. Customer support can be difficult to work with, whether it’s their staff not knowing how some features work, providing incorrect responses, or giving canned answers for the wrong issue. I feel like they've improved over the past year, but it’s still a challenge. After attending the conference Beyond the Black I now not only have a very good understanding of how to use Blackline effectively but I also know where I can further my knowledge and other opportunities where we could use Blackline. What do you dislike about BlackLine Financial Close Management?

The only downfall I can think of is if you are unaware of how the system works you can't take full advantage of it. I don't know that this is a Blackline fault, more likely it is a failing of my company for not offering more effective training on the system when someone new starts. What problems is BlackLine Financial Close Management solving and how is that benefiting you?

“Very good software for doing Statutory Statements”
What do you like best about Sovos?

We had been on Booke for statutory reporting, and we moved over to Sovos when they were purchased. The experience has been really great. We still have the detailed help guides that Booke had, but there is additional features that we didn't have before, like being able to import PDFs into the software (we do our footnotes in a separate word document and then conver to PDF), and also the ability to export and import excel files of different schedules and make edits as necessary (such as Schedule F). They also have good customer support, and are helpul in answers questions that we have in a timely manner. I just think overall it has all the benefits fo the Booke software, but builds on it with additional new features that enhance the overall experience. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Sovos?

Coming from the Booke software, I think the Sovos validation checks is a little bit more confusing to follow. I am starting to understand it overall as I have used Sovos for about 3 years, but it just seemed more complicated on how to run it, as well as how to follow the trail, compared to the Booke software (at least at first).

It can take a little bit of time to run PDFs of the statements to review outside of the system, but overall I don't have any dealbreakers that would make me switch to a different platform. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
