“Innovation and Mobility”
What do you like best about Procore?

I love how it's user friendly, and buttons are labeled easily. I enjoy the Procore Learning Center, which helps me when I am unsure of how to start or edit a task in Procore. I love the new feature of adding a workflow process to the invoicing procedure. I am highly appreciative of how the platform allows multiple users to engage and utilize the software but with permissions set in place keep the right data in privacy mode only for selected users. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Procore?

I have noticed for when I am doing accounting processes in Procore, it tends to round up to the nearest penny and throws off my totals. I do like the new views but as someone who constantly crunches number I prefer to see all my numbers in one screen without the need to scroll horizontally to the far right. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What problems is Procore solving and how is that benefiting you?

Procore totals all my commitments for me. adds in the new totals whenever a change order is created, keeps all the costs organized and in place, provides an electronic papertrail, i especially love how it shows me the change history and which users inputted and changed information. These are all very beneficial to my accounting tasks and projects that I use Procore when the project is at the end of life cycle and ready to be deactivacted. “A revolutionary product for pricing”
What do you like best about ConWize?

A dedicated product for carrying out project pricing, especially in the field of construction, therefore there are special tools here that are not available in systems like Excel.

A live product is constantly renewed with new tools. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about ConWize?

Nothing is perfect, it is also possible here to come across something that you will lack Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What problems is ConWize solving and how is that benefiting you?

Because there are almost no dedicated systems for pricing, so everyone works in Excel. It is a powerful tool in the right hands, but it means that everyone works the way they want and there is no uniform method. This is exactly what the system helps us solve.

We work efficiently and uniformly. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

“The Future of Data Access and Collaboration”
What do you like best about Autodesk Construction Cloud?

The Autodesk Construction Cloud (ACC) is a fantastic tool that provides all users with easy and fast access to our project data. By allowing each user to effectively "download' a copy of each project file, we are no longer bottlenecked by having to use a VPN to access a local server. This is the primary reason we turned to ACC. But we are very excited by the secondary benefits we are just beginnign to explore. The Review process provides a great way to creat a QA/QC process that is documented and holds people accountable. The Collaboration and Share features allow us to get the right data in the hands of the people that need it far more quickly and effeciently than before. There are many other collaboration features that we are learning about right and I am excited to see where we go next with it. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Autodesk Construction Cloud?

There are several components of ACC that are less friendly and more challenging. But I would be remiss if I didn't say the number one problem with the entire ecosystem right now is data migration. If you are coming from a cloud based solution it appears to be relatively painless. But if you are attempting to migrate your projects from a local server, be ready for some extremely slow and inefficent upload processes. The tools Autodesk provides for this essential function just can't handle large data sets at all. Now, once you get your data on to the cloud, welll then things become much more friendly. But if your firm is considereing migrating your active project directory to ACC (talking about a multitude of projects and many thousands of files), be ready to invest in some 3rd party tools or develop an API based solution yourself because there is no other way. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What problems is Autodesk Construction Cloud solving and how is that benefiting you?

It will enable us to completly power down our in-office server and all the necessary infrastructure that requires. Also, it allows our users to access our project data faster and more reliabily. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

“All Gear Working Together”
What do you like best about HCSS?

As an HCSS customer for over 10 years, there are many things I like about HCSS. One of the biggest values is how all of their programs seamlessly integrate together. Not only do they integrate well with one another, but we have also had great success in integrating them with other programs we use like our ERP and HRMIS systems. This allows for sharing of data and information like never before. Another value is the ease of use in using the various programs, from our field team to upper management, everyone is able to get value from the HCSS programs. I can't say what I like about HCSS without mentioning their great customer support. With most other software providers, I dread calling support for fear of getting stuck on the phone for hours trying to resolve an issue, with HCSS I know anytime I call I will quickly be connected with a support technician that will have my issue resolved quickly. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about HCSS?

Over the 10+ years of using all of the HCSS programs, it at times is obviously apparent that not all of their programs get as much attention as the others when it comes to upgrades and improvements. I dislike how little improvements have been made with HCSS DIspatcher, it still feels like a program from the early 00's. I also wish they invested more in their telematics offerings and looked at companies like Tenna and the various GPS devices they offer for the wide range of equipment used on construction sites. For example, a solution to use on devices without power, one that can be used on equipment attachments, etc. Tenna has done a great job at finding solutions to serve the various needs of the construction industry and I feel HCSS has fallen behind. If we were not so invested in HCSS and HCSS Telematics already, Tenna would have gotten our business. I hate feeling "stuck" with HCSS Telematics and wish they were as innovative with new solutions like Tenna. The last thing I want to mention is the lack of updates made to HCSS Academy and training. Many new updates come out and the training is not available or updated to match these changes. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What problems is HCSS solving and how is that benefiting you?

HCSS allows us to track our production in real time with HeavyJob. We also like the digital plan management offered by HCSS Plans. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

“user friendly and great customer support”
What do you like best about GCPay?

Very user friendly. Helpful support team. Integrates with Vista our accounting software and Procore through Vista. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about GCPay?

I wish that it could assign subcontractors by CSI Divisions (ie 05 - Metals) - the monthly cost bundle is a very useful report for compiling subcontractor back up, but it spits it out in alphabetical order, so each month we have to resort to put in order of CSI divions to align with the overall Prime contract pay application. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What problems is GCPay solving and how is that benefiting you?

Integration with Vista has saved our main office time and headaches. Tracking of insurance compliance is extremely helpful. Tracking on lien waivers is extremely helpful. Adding these to a pay app software truly benefits us and saves us time tracking these elsewhere, especially as we can set up to not let a sub submit their pay app without them. Its a great way to force the subs to keep up on their paperwork or they won't be paid timely, without making us look like jerks. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

“JobTread is the most valuable tool a contractor can have”
What do you like best about JobTread?

I could go on forever about why JobTread's features are better than every other construction software out there, but I don't think that's the main reason I like it so much. While JobTread's features are impressive, it's actually the company behind it that truly sets it apart. The major selling point, in my opinion, is that entire JobTread team and user base feels like a true community, and that’s mostly because they have an incredibly dedicated and ambitious leader in their CEO, Eric.

I don’t think I can overstate the talent that he’s been able to consolidate into one group. From the sales and outreach to the developers and designers, they exhibit a true passion for their product and a sense of commitment to their customers that you rarely see in a tech company. They genuinely care about their users’ lives and businesses, and will do whatever it takes to help us succeed. They are all extremely helpful in their online community threads, and go out of their way (even on nights and weekends) to respond to questions, requests, and even push out updates or fix bugs.

The app has a feature request board built directly into it, where users can request and vote on new features or improvements, which is then directly pushed to the developers. The process is simple — they build the features with the most votes. This means that the users themselves are directly steering the boat, which creates a sense of personal investment in the product from everyone who uses it. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about JobTread?

As of right now, where I think JobTread has the most room for improvement with selections/specifications, and in some areas with expense management, invoicing (particularly with cost-plus). That being said, I know they are working on this updates to these features currently, so there's a good chance this changes in the next few months!

And as much as I love that JobTread displays so much information, there are some screens and dashboards that I wish were a little more refined and user-friendly. Sometimes it can feel a little overwhelming at first (especially for those not as tech-savvy), but you get used to it. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What problems is JobTread solving and how is that benefiting you?

More like, what problems is JobTread NOT solving? The core benefit of JobTread comes from the budgeting and job costing features. At the end of the day, you can't run a business if you can't understand the numbers. JobTread offers so much flexibility and really empowers contractors to look at their financials in a different way. It’s hard to explain until you really start working with it. The way you can configure a budget to display information in a way that actually makes sense. It makes some decisions for you (like specific columns for estimate, expenses, income and profit), but you are free to arrange them however you like to create real-time reports directly in the budget itself.

Another problem JobTread solves is that it allows us to consolidate so many other tools into one place. There's no more context switching between different apps for messaging, spreadsheets, bookkeeping, scheduling, task management and files. And not only does it replace these other apps, it actually does most of it better! Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Deltek ComputerEase?

There are a lot of manual processes when it comes to payroll. The FieldEase time application is completely antiquated and it is not a time saver when it comes to overtime calcuations and review of nontax entries. The tracking/auditing of updates or changes is non-existant which makes understanding why something happened quite difficult. It is difficult to get direct support over the phone if ther is an immediate problem, only tickets are available and scheduled calls. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

“Right on the Money!”
What do you like best about Projul?

Projul gives great trainings & customer support. It has helped creating proposals/estimates, contracts & Invoices a breeze. Also, having JustiFi as our payment processing, we have seen in just a few weeks save my company thousands of dollars. I also love the GPS tracking for guys in the field. It has made billing hours to jobs so easy & checking clocking in and out times. I also currently am tracking drivetime so that can assist with additional savings in fuel cost & who should be allowed to drive company vehicles & who shouldn't. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Projul?

You can't view a client's complete file. As in multiple projects from before conviently and I hate how it only opens on the side. I also don't like how you can't have multiple propsals/contracts on one project especially when it has multiple phases I have to create multiple projects which confuses the guys out in the field for clocking in. We also have several issues with the app it constantly times out or takes forever to load. Which is not very convient for guys in the field. Also I don't like how you can't archive proposals/estimates so you can keep them for a later time. I also don't care for the invoice formatting but is still a million times better then what we were using & hopefully that will change over the course time. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Acumatica?

There is not much I can say I dislike. I could nitpick at a few minor features, but it would be doing a disservice to the platform. CoConstruct is a very useful tool. The software is very thoughtfully designed. The Budgets, Purchase Orders and Change Orders are all relatively smooth and easy to use. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about CoConstruct?

Unfortunately, once you start using CoConstruct, you are essentially locked in, as it is hard to export data. Our small business used CoConstruct with no complaints until last year, when they jacked up our rates exponentially (by about $5,000). We were blindsided by the outrageous increase in price. Because of how software-centric CoConstruct is, it is not easy to take your data and go to another company. You are pretty much stuck with them if you aren't willing to walk away from your project data. I would avoid CoConstruct entirely unless you are in a position to walk away from your project data. Our company cannot, so we are stuck paying outrageous prices to continue using this software. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What problems is CoConstruct solving and how is that benefiting you?

CoConstruct is good at connecting all aspects of construction (budgets, purchase orders, change orders). Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
