Blog Software

Typically, Blog is a capability of a variety of other G2 Software categories. See more below to select the

best Blog Software.

Many personal and professional blogs are created and tracked through website developers that perform the back-end processes of website development so users can build sites from easy-to-follow templates. Blogs fall into the G2 categories Web Content Management (WCM) and Website Builders. They ensure those without extensive development knowledge can have a space in the world wide web without learning complex code or HTML. Some of these tools can integrate with ecommerce platforms to enable users to turn their blog or website into an online store. Many are free at the base but offer users the opportunity to pay for a more in-depth subscription, purchase a domain name or gain access to more themes and templates. Website builders and WCM platforms can also offer analytics and search engine optimization (SEO) tracking features to help users understand their audience demographic. This, in turn, helps users make informed decisions that can foster online growth.

WordPress.org is web software you can use to create a beautiful website or blog. They like to say that WordPress is both free and priceless at the same time.

“Fastest and cheapest way to launch a website, ecommerce store, community forums....”
What do you like best about WordPress.org?

Making the most of PHP programming language, open source WordPress is heavily optimized for cache and other web development processes. As a resut, a website on WordPress consumes minimal resource. Whether it is a blog or an e-store, community forum or learning management software, WordPress has readymade plugins (free and paid) for almost all prevalent business use cases. Something that can take months and years to develop in-house can be accessed here instantly. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about WordPress.org?

Some use cases where speed is of paramount importance such as stock trading apps can be best done on C. For scientific applications, Python might be better suited. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What problems is WordPress.org solving and how is that benefiting you?

For my personal blog, I find WordPress the best CMS. Adding ecommerce feature takes a few clicks with activating WooCommerce plugin. For accepting payments, it takes few more clicks to connect with your PayPal/Stripe/PhonePe accounts. So as a web developer, I single-handedly use WordPress for my own needs while also recommending to my friends, relatives, and cients. When I have additional time, I customize front-end using my knowledge in HTMl/CSS/JavaScript. Or start working on adding functional features honing my PHP skill that can be later even distributed as free plugin to all WordPress users through WordPress.org plugin repository. “Great Site Builder for Individuals and Agencies”
What do you like best about Duda?

I like the flex sections for when I just need extra flexibilty in one spot. I like that it can just be one section and not the whole site in flex.

I find duda easy to use, though I did go through all of the Duda university lessons, so I can't speak for people without experience in Duda.

I also appreciate the customer support. I have always had positive experiences with duda support. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Duda?

I think the only downside is some of the widgets are just very limited. The one example I can think of right now is the hero carousel. I wanted more options for where to place the button and description on top of the sliding images but the only options currently are right, center, left. I was hoping for an option to pin to a lower corner. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What problems is Duda solving and how is that benefiting you?

Duda makes it pretty easy for me to build websites for clients. I always run into a few limits with what I can do but so far I have found solutions. Once aspect that has been useful in the past is the templates, which allow me to bust out client websites pretty fast. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you like best about HubSpot Content Hub?

I tried out Hubspot around Jan of 2024 and i realized this was the perfect way to input my customers information and most importantly keep track of it. Prior to Hubspot i was having to creat Microsoft Excel or the Numbers app using MAC. I had to create everything and then input, Hubspot took away one difficult step in the customer management step. Not to many downsides, if you are using the services in a way where you need marketing or some of the other tools it is kinda expensive, but the tools are there if your ok with paying for it. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

“Efficient editing but some limitations”
What do you like best about Umbraco?

Very simple and straightforward to understand how to use the website editing tools. Allows for quick and efficient updates to be made which in my current role is beneficial as it is one less thing to worry about.

During busy periods I may be using the website editing on Umbraco several times a day and due to the ease of use I am able to do these in no time and get on with the rest of my work. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Umbraco?

Limited customisation options with the version of Umbraco I access.

Some tools, such as editing a central blcok, can be dififcult when you have to include a lot of information/tables as some of the information is cut off in the small editing box now provided.

Difficulty adding/accessing images to use on webpage edits. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

“A great website builder!”
What do you like best about Dorik?

Dorik has exceeded my expectations in many ways. It's easy to use. Being a newbie, it came out to be just the right platform for me.

With the drag-and-drop editor, I had rare issues to get started.

Also, Dorik has beautiful and responsive templates. There are many customizable design options to choose from. Even I found it helpful as it offered me the flexibility to add CSS or JavaScript for more advanced customization.

I would also mention the clean UI/UX design. It’s easy to use as well. I built my site very fast! Again, Dorik has plenty of third-party tools to connect,

I'd strongly recommend it for the helpful customer support also. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Dorik?

There are a few areas that could be improved. Plus, there could have been more customization options for individual components. Sometimes, it feels limited when designing unique elements.

Moreover, there might be more SEO tools and content management features in blogs.

There is also storage and bandwidth limits in the free plans! Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What problems is Dorik solving and how is that benefiting you?

I had to struggle with complex website builders as I tried a few. Also, I had the perception that a website building needs developers. But Dorik has made things easier for me. With its drag-and-drop interface and pre-designed templates, I just started building my website quickly. In the past, I found it hard to make a mobile friendly site. Fortunately, with Dorik it's easy! Ut saves me a lot of time and hassle. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about WordPress.com?

The thing i disliked about wordpress is that i cant integrate app without choosing their plan. Though it is worth it buying but if a new person like me want to workout with software, he would want app integration in free but if you buy their plan its worth it. “Google Workspace: A ComprehensiveTool for Academic Collaboration”
What do you like best about Google Workspace?

The ability to access files from any device, and the automatic saving feature are great for working on projects anytime and anywhere. The collaborative features in Google docs and Sheets are especially helpful for Group projects, as multiple people can work on the same document simultaneously. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Google Workspace?

Google Drive can feel messy at times, especially when there are many shared files. Also, it’s harder to use offline if I don't have a good internet connection. And the upload and download speeds can be slow, especially with larger files Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What problems is Google Workspace solving and how is that benefiting you?

Google Workspace solves several problems for me as a student. It allows me to easily collaborate with classmates on group projects using Google Docs, Sheets, and Slides, all in real-time. “Impressive!”
What do you like best about Selldone?

It's hard to say what I like "best," because there are a LOT of things to like! I love the customer service, for starters. When I was just a free user, if I had a question and clicked the "chat" button, I actually got an answer from a real human, not just a bot. That was the first sign this is a great company.

Once I started using the Enterprise Solution I realize just how comprehensive the platform is, without plugins! I've used Wordpress and Wix before. Wix has been easy, but very limited and not functional for growing into a large business. Wordpress is clunky and requires a lot of plugins for true functionality. Selldone is laid out very uniquely and you can tell the developers but a lot of effort into making it intuitive.

I haven't yet tapped into a fraction of what is available to me. I am anxious to keep going! Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Selldone?

I am a self-taught web builder and not very experienced... so having interactive training videos would be welcome. In other words, Start with clicking this (and then it waits for you to click that). Then click this (and it waits for you to click that). I think for most users, this would be unnecessary. But for me, it would be helpful. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

“From zero to launch in 2 weeks”
What do you like best about Hygraph?

Hygraph helped us launch the Vantagio platform in only two weeks. During this time we had some questions about modeling our data (this is the first time we use this technology), but the support on Slack helped us to optimize every time that we needed and we focused on building the best platform for our clients. Now, we recommend anyone to use Hygraph instead of other platforms. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Hygraph?

I think that docs are very basic, maybe improving the docs with complex cases, and examples with many different types of use can improve the onboarding of the platform. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What problems is Hygraph solving and how is that benefiting you?

We need to develop an MVP. At the start, we considered the use of Hygraph only for the MVP and building a back office in the future, but the client loved Hygraph and decided to maintain it. “Wix is easy and great.”
What do you like best about Wix?

Wix's customer service is, by far, their most appealing quality to me. By far the best, most responsive and willing to help team I have encountered. Every platform has flaws, but at least Wix is always available to help. It is also one of the simplest platforms to create a website using. Very user friendly, so I can quickly educate my clients how to use it. They provide numbers of good features. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Wix?

When adding items from another source, customisation options may be limited. For Example, if you intended to utilize it as a platform for an integrated database, it is not necessarily compatible. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What problems is Wix solving and how is that benefiting you?

Wix really is a fantastic platform. It is user friendly, has excellent functionality, and includes a variety of services in each package sold. However, I would like to see Wix move a little more into the current web design period. Offer features that are appropriate for a social media driven digital world. “Morphic helped me design, build and launch my custom site in just a couple hours.”
What do you like best about Morphic?

I had been delaying upgrading my website because I was worried that it would either be too expensive or time consuming or both. When a friend told me about Morphic I jumped in right away and got really excited that I could see my business site coming together before my eyes and I'm not a designer at all. It made lots of decisions and set things up so I didn't really have to work too hard or make many decisions. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Morphic?

Initially I thought the designs seemed a little too minimal (I have a fun branded business), but after it explained the designs in the Design Walkthrough, I understood what it designed and really liked it. It was easy to expand upon. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What problems is Morphic solving and how is that benefiting you?

Morphic seemed to understand my business and design for me. It also provided some design and website best practice explanations that was above and beyond what I have come to expect from website builders, but I think this is actually more like a smart design platform than a website builder where you have to be the designer and do it all yourself, which usually doesn't end well. “A flexible and powerful headless solution for content-driven teams, but with a learning curve”
What do you like best about Sanity?

Sanity.io offers impressive flexibility, allowing users to tailor the platform to fit nearly any content structure. This is largely thanks to its schema-based approach, which gives developers the freedom to create custom workflows and layouts. One of its standout features is real-time collaboration, which enables multiple users to work on content simultaneously. This makes it a fantastic tool for teams, especially those managing large-scale projects with lots of moving parts. Another major plus is how developer-friendly it is. With its JavaScript-based studio and API-first architecture, Sanity.io integrates smoothly with modern front-end frameworks. The live preview feature is also a game-changer, allowing changes to appear immediately, which saves time during content creation and testing.

Sanity.io also excels when it comes to media handling, thanks to its powerful Image Pipeline. This feature automatically optimizes images for performance, resizing and compressing them on the fly, which is a huge win for developers focused on speed and efficiency. You get responsive images with minimal effort, improving load times across devices.

Another standout feature is GROQ, Sanity’s open-source query language, which allows users to fetch and, if need be, transform exactly the data they need. It’s flexible, easy to learn, and more powerful than traditional REST-based and GraphQL approaches, making it a favorite among developers who need precision in data retrieval.

On top of all that, the Sanity team is incredibly active in supporting its users. Their Slack channel is lively and offers direct access to the development team, where users can get quick help or share feedback. Sanity’s regular product updates show they are committed to improving and adding features, keeping the platform fresh and aligned with modern development practices. This level of engagement from the team is a huge plus for anyone considering long-term use of the platform.

While Sanity.io does have a bit of a learning curve, especially for users unfamiliar with schema-based systems, they offer a variety of templates to help users get up and running quickly. These templates provide a solid starting point for common use cases like blogs, e-commerce sites, and portfolios. For developers who might find the customizability daunting at first, these templates offer an easy way to dive in without having to build everything from scratch. The combination of these ready-made templates and Sanity's powerful features means that while there’s a learning curve, the platform also provides enough resources to help new users get up to speed relatively quickly. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Sanity?

For users unfamiliar with schema-based systems, there’s definitely a learning curve. Pricing can also be a concern. While the free tier is generous, advanced features such as higher quotas or more extensive user management come at a premium. Another point to consider is that Sanity.io offers minimal out-of-the-box features. Its flexibility is great, but it means that users will need to build a lot of components themselves to achieve the desired functionality, which may require more development effort upfront. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What problems is Sanity solving and how is that benefiting you?

Sanity solves the problem of rigid, tightly-coupled traditional CMS structures by offering a highly flexible, schema-based platform that lets you define content types exactly how you need them. This flexibility is great for complex content models or projects where the content isn’t straightforward, allowing you to manage everything from blog posts to e-commerce products within a single system. It also tackles the issue of slow collaboration by providing real-time editing, enabling teams to work together seamlessly without overwriting each other's changes. Sanity allows me to build custom solutions for clients without being limited by the platform, while also ensuring performance and ease of collaboration. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

“Great solution for Digital Asset Management”
What do you like best about PICS.IO?

Great customer support, fast responses. Very easy implementation; we were up and running in a day, and the learning curve is fast, plus, online support is always there if you get stuck. The feature rich interface is customizable and polished. We have a lot of digital assets, and they get increasingly hard to manage as we have expanded our team. Having a good "DAM" is essential for keeping our workflow going and saving time searching for content. Our team utilizes this interface multiple times a day, it is an essential tool for our productivity. Being able to preview every file type (apart from a Zip file) is amazing. There is even integrated editing software for those that don't already have something native on their computer. Ai option for keyword generation, publish for public or keep files save for internal use only. The list goes on and on. Highly recommend PIC.IO. JC, Director of Product Development Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about PICS.IO?

Hosting costs, so we moved hosting to Google Drive but we kept the PICS.IO interface Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What problems is PICS.IO solving and how is that benefiting you?

Speed of locating assets, ability to preview almost any file type without having to have dedicated software native on a local machine, there is even web-based editing software. Organization of assets. AI generated Keyword population. Lower interaction between departments for content as team members get used to looking on the DAM (PIC.IO) first and just doing a quick query before sending an email or making a phone call as they have the same access as we do for finding such an asset. This process saves immeasurable time and frustration for all parties involved. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

We enjoy having a dedicated team at Northwoods who takes the time to listen and understand our institution's goals and ideas. Their customer support is unmatched. This personal approach has helped improve our site well beyond what we've ever been able to accomplish before switching to Titan CMS.

What do you dislike about Titan CMS?

My experience using Titan CMS has been overwhelmingly positive, and the team is always working on enhancements and new features. “The Premier Umbraco Website Builder”
What do you like best about uSkinned Site Builder?

The uSkinned Site Builder is a fantastically comprehensive tool for rapidly building any Umbraco website. I have used the package professionally for nearly a decade, across scores of site builds, and have never found it wanting.

The range of out-of-the box features is impressively large and increases with every new iteration of the system, and usually does the trick on its own for most requirements. The product has continuously evolved alongside Umbraco itself over the years and has added huge amounts of new functionality in that time. However, the ease of customization means that the developer is never boxed in by any perceived limitations of the package out of the box.

The level of customer support is top notch, with plentiful documentation and timely responses to help requests. This gives a decent level of comfort to anyone approaching the system for the first time.

In short, I can't recommend the product enough to fellow Umbraco developers - it is outstanding. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about uSkinned Site Builder?

There might have been a point in the product's past where sites built with the tool might have had a somewhat cookie-cutter, "uSkinned"-look about them (especially when using a theme) but this has changed much for the better over the years as it has become ever easier to build unique front-ends over the skeleton Site Builder theme itself. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What problems is uSkinned Site Builder solving and how is that benefiting you?

The uSkinned Site Builder facilitates the rapid building of professional quality Umbraco web sites. This is a huge benefit to any agency building such sites on behalf of their customers. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

The worst is that every time I want to allow the images to show I have to allow imgaes from the sender and it is very time consuming and the server of hostinger is very slow for sending bulk email as the server crasehs and some of the emails are not sent. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What problems is Hostinger solving and how is that benefiting you?

It provides easy and cheap price for domains and easy to register with having business email in this is easy and sending email and veiwing them is easy. I have switched from Netlify to hostinger because of the ease of use. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What problems is CloudCannon solving and how is that benefiting you?

CloudCannon help us by having the possibility to add custom components to any kind of pages, so our Marketing Team, Product Manager can easily update or add any pages on our websites without waiting the Dev.

The Dev team can focus, on the UI, new components and fix bugs instead of creating new pages, updating content, etc... Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
