What do you like best about Carepatron?

Many of the other platforms I researched for the business I work for had too many features, too much of a learning curve, were not integratable to our current workflow and tools, and definitely too costly. I stumbled on Carepatron and tried it out with dummy data, and I was really surprised at how easy it was to get started, implement the proper fields for forms and client data, and see "profiles" for each client I added. It's not overly complicated, which is great for less technical savvy co-workers, but also integrates with external calendars (one-way) to make appointment booking easier while filling out a client's details in their profile. There are additional features that I don't think we will need to use at the moment, but knowing that the ability to generate invoices and setup billing is something that could be valuable for us in the future.

Second to the vast amount of resources and templates available to help people get started on Carepatron, is the surprising cost for small teams. I couldn't believe that Carepatron had all of the features we needed for free, especially when compared to the costs of other similar web apps with similar features. What do you dislike about Carepatron?

I would have said that, the inability to export client data that is created in Carepatron made me hesistant. I didn't want the client information locked into the platform with no way of getting it out. I believe the latest update, as of August 19th or so, has implemented an export feature for client details. It's easier to find things to like about Carepatron than it is to find things to dislike. What problems is Carepatron solving and how is that benefiting you?

It is one place where I can update, add, reference, and modify important information regarding referrals we recieve, without having to leave the app/website. Currently, I'm having to switch between 3-4 different windows just to get all the information I need to make an informed phone call with a client, followed by updating an additional 2-3 tools to follow up and update information so everyone is on the same page. What do you like best about Practice Better?

I just started setting up Practice Better about a week ago. I am nutritionist and health coach and I switched from Charm. I had been using charm prioro my maternity leave Charm was great because it was free for my small practice but had way too many bells and whistles for what I needed. When I came back and needed to re-learn it, it started to get confusing to use because of too many options - it's for large medical practices, not small health coaches. Each feature on PB is easy to understand and set up. I had to email customer service and received a detailed response within 24 hours. I am excited to use all the other features such as journals, food tracking, and creating programs for my clients. The Spry team has been incredibly receptive and devoted to solving the major problems that we had with our previous EMR. They communicate well, and make it feel as though their entire team is available at any time to assist with requests, questions, or concerns. Spry has been very receptive to our customization requests. However, sometimes the customizations take a few days and a few trials to perfect. We also had some minor hiccups with integrations such as scanning and faxing at first, but they were resolved quickly. Overall, any issues we've come across, Spry has been diligent in fixing. Spry's solving many problems unique to physical therapy as a specialty. Their billing dashboard is clean, simple, and easy to utilize. Billing rules improve our compliance with payer-specific reimbursement and compliance requirements. Their carry-forward feature in the documentation section makes charting a breeze. It's also easy to take documented exericse, add them to the patient's HEP, and assign them to the patient, which is improving our patients' compliance with their home exercises. Scheduling appts and creating charts is quick and easy. Their eligibilty checker pulls PT-specific benefits, decreasing the amount of time staff has to spend calling insurance companies directly to verify benefits. I was trained by staff members at both organizations I worked at; however, for a general introduction, I wish Kipu EMR had a standard training session that was offered (note: IF such a training already exists, the organizations I worked at did not alert me of them; therefore, I had to rely on on-site personnel to convey the options, some more detailed than others, that the agency utilized). Kipu has made it easy for me to see clients' history "at-a-glance" which is helpful when I arrive on site and take notice of newly-admitted clients. When you call support, even if you are returning a call from someone you can never get past the operator. Tech support doesnt have direct phone numbers or extensions. Having all records, waivers, etc digitally has been fantastic! No more lugging large binders, risking losing personal information. There are still families that are not tech savy or trust having their information entered into a site, no matter how secure we say it is, so sometimes we need to have a mini computer class to help those individuals, but for the most part families like it far better than paper as well! What do you like best about WRS Health?

What do you dislike about WRS Health?

Patients have difficulty completing any form of registering from the link that they receive via text. Also, duplicate accts are sometimes getting created when pts attempt to do the on-line registration. We have had the majority of on-line registrating shut off. Wish appt reminder calls, texts came from a local number. On insurances, I would like to have the ability to add eff dates and term dates to them so that you knew what was eff on a particular date of service. When we have an issue with the system, response time from help desk is slow. Nursing staff has issues with prescriptions going thru successfully. Physicians need to ability to add/change note, not just a spot at bottom of note that states addendum. When running eligibility on insurances, wish effective date of policy was included. There are forms that we still need to get from pts such as HIPAA , medicare secondary questionnaire because pt's don't have the ability to sign or complete online. Good customer care and support. a very good platform that has everything you need to provide service and sales. I am in business for almost 9 years, tried a lot of different software. but I was missing some features which never stopped me to look for a better one. What do you like best about Epic?

As a medical clinic, we use Epic daily to manage our patients protected health information and facilitate communication between our clinical teams. In regard to the integration with Reputation, it is a time saver for me! In the past, I had to manually download a file from Epic and then upload it into my reputation management software. I was not able to be consistent with gaining survey information and online reviews as this process didn't take place daily. Now the whole process is automated with the integration between Reputation and Epic so I don't need to check on this or even think about it happening. I can see the results in my dashboard every day. What do you dislike about Epic?

In regard to the integration between Reputation and Epic there is nothing that I dislike. Clean, simple and easy. In regard to Epic in general, often the upgrades change our clinic work flow which is frustrating for staff. What problems is Epic solving and how is that benefiting you?

One example of how Epic is benefiting our group is Epic work queues. They make our the process of obtaining and tracking information for priorauthorizations simple. Our team has all the information they need in one place rather than having to touch a chart multiple times. This increases efficiency, as well as patient experience. What do you like best about ModuleMD?

The logical nature of the setup as well as the fantastic personalized support from the staff answering all our questions. Also, they are very responsive to improving the product. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about ModuleMD?

Sometimes there are frustrating pop-ups that impede the workflow; but tickets have been submitted to address this issue. Sometimes, it is difficult to find ICD codes, but I think that is more a function of ICD and not MMD. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What problems is ModuleMD solving and how is that benefiting you?

Allowing us EMR access to our data that used to be completely paper charts. Better understanding of the billing process. Transition to Dragon Dictation embedded in MMD has been a huge cost savings for us. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
