I dispatch dozens of work orders daily for 24 forepersons. We recently launched Field Service for front-end desk users and mobile users in the field. The drag-and-drop functionality in scheduling makes this feature so easy to use from my chair and the field personnel being able to quickly see their service appointments on a map, reject or accept what's been dispatched to them is fast and easy to do. In our construction industry, moving away from paper even into spreadsheet took time. Graduating to filling out forms on an iPad was the next step. It's not an industry known to be accepting of change. But Salesforce makes it so easy, our early adopters have seen the benefit and picked it up immediately. Impressive!! While the new software system offers some great features, I’ve found a few drawbacks. One of the major issues is the system's inability to handle credits for return parts and cores effectively.

I’ve been using the new software system for a several months now, and while it does have some drawbacks, the developers are always working on ways to to improve upon the system and it's functionality bo become more effective. Shopmonkey is falling very quickly from where it once stood. The customer service is not as personal as it once was, and the lack of updates is painfully frustrating when you're being told about the "new version" for multiple years with no release, and yet the current version is still breaking once a week keeping you from using it for hours on a busy day. It is becoming more difficult by the day to recommend Shopmonkey, a program I once praised to everyone to a program that is very useful but has better alternatives at far better prices. Shopmonkey speeds up everything that is done in the office. Creating estimates, ordering parts, getting authorization, etc. They also create issues once you rely on these things becuase they often stop functioning in the middle of your workday. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

im not sure if it is a setting or standard but the technician side is more restricted than a service writer in assigning work. the technician needs to see just as much as a service writer if not more. the DVI also doesnt have a tab for struts so I am taking pictures in the "other" tab. communication issues should be minimized with a clean and easy to use shop software as long as each individual does their part. as a technician, it is nice to know how to set up my day and which cars will need attending to first to last. all of the major building blocks have been refined and left for each shop to play around with. Absolutely the biggest gripe is how Connecteam advertises a QuickBooks integration to export timesheets. This is inaccurate as you can only export regular hours. You cannot export PTO or OT from Connecteam to QBO......major bummer.

The ability to customize the home page or "Feed" page would be nice. The default shortcuts aren't always what's most frequently used by users.

There are always new features being added, and it can be hard to keep up with at times. But on the plus side, the team does a good job of announcing these updates during their monthly webcast calls, so we’re always informed and can stay on top of any changes. Fieldcode helps us manage the lifecycle of our IT equipment—customizations, installs, repairs, and de-installations. It has cut down on miscommunication between teams, sped up our scheduling, and overall made everything run faster and smoother. The software really works best by using the admin software AND the mobile APP together. As a manager, you have control over every feature - but your techguys should only use mobileapp: open a job, attach photo & signature - and save! Thats the only thing they need. First, creating a platform that is easy to use - our techinicans seem to like it and not dread doing the paperwork. We have been successful with this product with our Commercial Brach and now we have just started with our Residential Team. DataPlate capture is big. Tech can scan the dataplate containing model and serial and we can caputure that data in a database for marketing or equipment replacement purposes when the equipment becomes a certain age. Not all technical resources on the site match the resume and technical abilities that they list on their profile. There is no way for Field Nation to verify the information the technician posts, so this is not a Field Nation problem, but it can cause some issues in the field when you get a resource that does not have the skils that they advertised. For our use case we need to restrict our user to make prescription from certain location. we want to restrict user to create prescription apart from the desired location to ensure prescription credability. We are using nextbillion's geocoding APIs to internally geofence doctors location which in turn allowing the doctors to create prescription. It is not always obvious when there is an app update, and sometimes the data can come through incorrectly or drivers will experience issues loading with an old version of the app. Although uninstalling and reinstalling the app fixes the issue 9 out of 10 times, a pop up/alert when there is a new version would he handy. Currently there is an upgrade happening to the platform that has been somewhat difficult to navigate. I think that this has been a difficulty for us because of our timing to adopt the platform.
