What do you like best about Novi AMS?

It's easy to set up and use. It plays well with many other SaaS systems that we use and the staff are approachable, friendly, and solution-oriented. If you have issues, Novi doesn't make you file a ticket that gets answered by an anonymous email address. You just open the chat window in the site backend, and you're talking with a team member whose name you know (and who you've probably talked with before) within minutes.

They've worked to build a strong customer community. They treat their customers like they are members of a user association (most of their staff are former association staff, I think) Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Novi AMS?

The only thing that Novi does not currently do that we want is facility member-to-member communications. It does connect to other platforms that do that, so it's not a huge issue.

Novi did not have all the bells and whistles that we wanted when we started with them a few years ago, but they've been very responsive to feedback and requests, and have added many new features that we've requested. What problems is Novi AMS solving and how is that benefiting you?

Novi serves as an information hub for us to track our members (database), but also for our members to participate in the association(website). It's the central focus of our operations and activity. Many other SaaS platforms that we use connect or integrate with Novi in some way, and the two synch to Quickbooks Online saves us a huge amount of time by eliminating the need to export/import transactions and then have to reconcile them.

Note on the price: Novi is not the cheapest platform, and it shows. It has been well worth the cost to get the quality customer support and a system that works this well. There are far more expensive systems out there that are not half as good. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you like best about iMIS?

What I appreciate the most about iMIS is its ability to house all the components of our organization inside of one, easy-to-use platform. Myself and our team are inside the platform every day and we've found this to be the most superior AMS platform. We searched for literal years before deciding on iMIS EMS back in 2020. With the help of our fantastic integration partners, enSYNC, the implementation was successful and we've been operating on the platform for over 3 years now. What do you dislike about iMIS?

I think one downside I've experienced is report writing. The Intelligent Query Architect can be quite cumbersome, especially if you are not used to SQL-type reporting. What do you like best about Dashboard?

In my company we use Dashboard to easily access sellers' profiles since we are an online company that sells used cars therefore we rely heavily on this software. It also easily allows us to see the name and details of the dealer that bought the seller's car, we can see what documents the seller has uploaded so we can know which are missing so we can chase them. I put a lot of time into research options for creating my own WordPress membership site plus online course creation, and MemberPress was the ideal solution, enabling me to create a membership program with an included learning management system (LMS) all in one plugin. What do you like best about MemberLeap?

When I started using MemberLeap, I had never used software to create web content before. I was surprised at how easy it was to create and update web content. The interface is extremely intuitive and it is easy to learn the multiple functionalities of the software.

MemberLeap is also extremely responsive to help troubleshoot issues. Recently, I had to reach out to them to get a quote on how much it would cost to make a couple of edits to our web layout. They responded within a couple of days and were very clear on price.

Finally, it is very easy to embed multimedia items into content - I typically need to embed a large number of images. I can easily link to these images. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about MemberLeap?

The content editor can have glitches at times. I've noticed that it can add extra characters after publication and can be finicky with special characters. Additionally, it is very important to save work if you are working on the same content for a long time - I've experienced (the hard way) that you could be logged out of your account and lose all your work. What do you like best about Neon CRM?

I love the ease of use and speed with which it pulls information out of the database. It's easy to write reports, handle accounts and donations, and I love the duplicate account management capabilities. We coupled with with the Windfall integration to get wealth management information for our donors and the marriage of the two has led to some great insights and fundraising strategies and segmentation.

The Neon Academy seems very thorough and we've used it a lot. The onboarding process was simple and very professional, including importing data from our previous donor management solution.

The interface with Quickbooks Online seems to work flawlessly.

Neon Pay integration was simple and works great, processing online donations for us.

Perhaps the best thing is the reporting. It's easy to create reports - quite unlike our old donor management system!!! It's fun and fast to create those reports and then it's easy to share them.

The built in commuications (email, campaigns, etc.) are great, even the ability to send external email messages to the donor record. The timeline of activities is really useful for our fundraising team so they can see where they left off and what their next steps should be.

We're not using the workflows a lot yet, but they seem to work great. I expect we'll be using them a lot more in the future.

We use it CONSTANTLY every day, and there are even more features we'll start using like volunteer management, events, grant management and pledge/payment tracking.

I highly recommend Neon CRM!!!!! I only wish we'd had it for years. We just went live with it in January 2024. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Neon CRM?

The one thing that SOMETIMES takes longer than it should is responses from their customer service/support team. The information they give is excellent, but it's not always the fastest response time. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you like best about GrowthZone?

Our association has been using GrowthZone software for a couple years now, and we've been completely satisfied with the system - from the onboarding process to day-to-day tasks. Having efficient tools to handle our member data is crucial, and this software has proved to be invaluable to our association.

1. Ease of use

It didn't take long for our team to learn the various features and functionalities. From adding new members to updating their information and tracking membership statuses, everything is streamlined and easy to manage.

2. Reports

Generating reports for attendance, membership growth, and financials has been a game changer. This has significantly cut down the time we spend on administrative tasks.

3. The onboarding process was seamless and well-structured

Their team provided comprehensive monthly/weekly/daily training sessions that were tailored to our specific needs, ensuring that everyone on our team felt confident using the software from day one. They thouroghly answered all our questions and guided us through setup, making sure we were making the most of the software's capabilities. There were several homework items required - completing these throroughly was detrimental to making the transistion from our old software to GZ a smooth one, and we were walked through each one.

They have been amazing! Each time I've reached out they were quick to respond and solve whatever conumdrum I got myself into. Their knowledge and friendly service really makes the difference and sets them apart.

What do you like best about ReadyMembership?

We used to have a separate website and (clunky) database. In addition to this, we have a separate forum, and manually managed all of our events bookings. ReadyMembership effectively and efficiently moved all of this into one package, increasing workplace efficiency enormously. The benefits of association members being able to log in to the website, access their own areas are transformative, as they can access specifically tailored benefits, be shown tailored professional development opportunities, and easily book courses and conferences. Implementation was straightforward, and well-managed by the Pixl8 team, and I was impressed with how quickly the senior team would get involved if anything needed smoothing over.

I also like the fact that the product is continually developing. The Pixl8 team running ReadyMembership are keen to meet and listen to their clients and to build new elements that will benefit the whole user community. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you like best about Membershipworks?

I can embed HTML widgets into almost any website and can customize the fields as well as layout. It is a lot more flexible than other membership software I have tried. I have used it for business associations, networking groups and even created a directory of properties for a real estate association. I also like that the support team will pick up the phone and answer questions. That seems rare now among tech companies. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Membershipworks?

There are a few limitations. Such as only one widget per page. That has created the need for additional pages and popups, and I prefer fewer clicks to get to functions. However, these limitations are tolerable in light of all that it does do. Also, the HELP section is useful however sometimes I do not know the terms used so finding an answer is sometimes challenging... But that is why the phone line is appreciated! Also, right now only one primary image is available (excluding a photo gallery) and two would be nice: one for a logo and one for a headshot. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

Recommendations to others considering Membershipworks:

As with any software investigation: 1) Make a "wish list"; 2) Investigate alternatives considering features & reviews; 3) Test drive the software as well as customer support. What problems is Membershipworks solving and how is that benefiting you?

For membership organization directories, I prefer to include more than just name, address, phone, email. With MembershipWorks I can customize all the fields that I need. Same goes for a real estate directory for a caravan tour. I created one that included real estate fields (prices, square footage, # bedrooms, a photo gallery & map) using it. Flexible!! Plus they include various widgets for searches. The BIGGY was a location search based on a zip, city or state. Other alternative software did not include this feature. What do you like best about Forj?

Mobilize has an intuitive, user-friendly interface with low- and no-cost options for organizations to create and manage an online community. It is feature-rich. It supports a list-serve, onboarding and management of membership rosters, includes mini-profiles for each member that are viewable by the community, document management, and is customizable. Our professional organization is a volunteer-run and has no budget. We do not have a website, so our members rely on Mobilize to be our online hub and sharing spot. What do you dislike about Forj?

While the Members feature offers great capabilities (mini-profiles, automated communications, forms), it does not allow filtering on membership date. Adding this feature would help us better recognize and onboard new members. Please add it! Mobilize doesn't really support collaboration in creating documents. If several of us need to work on a document, we use Google docs to leverage their editing and versioning features and then post the finished doc on Mobilize. Through Mobilize, our community shares professional opportunities and resources, collaborates, creates and promotes events, and improves our organization. Our members are not co-located. We also use Mobilize as the repository of our foundational documents that describe who we are, how we function, and what we hope to achieve. We reference these documents frequently. Most everything else! The articles they produce are hard to find and even harder to utilize. They do not allow much customization making the program a lot of their functionality not useful for us.

I also struggle as a smaller Y all their really nice add-ons like Daxko Engage, and others are too pricey!

So far it has proven to be a sturdy eCommerce and ERP/B2B add on. Does well with Membership tasks too. We have been able to customize it, either through Fonteva itself or through their Support Partner, fusionSPAN.

Otherwise, having taken part of the AppCon'22 Conference at Crystal City, it looks like it has created its own Ecosystem, when it comes to Associations.

What do you dislike about Fonteva for Associations?

Hopefully most of these "sour grapes" will go away once we implement both Fonteva Payments AND Fonteva Platform 15.0.

As said "sour grapes" come mostly from having to do extra work when handling credit notes and memos over multiple SO's.

The website builder is a disaster, if you are used to building in WordPress or even Wix or Squarespare - good luck with Springly builder, very old school way of thinking of how to structure websites and very limiting on theme customization. One of the downsides for me is not having specific vendor references on the website as options. We host several events and it has been pretty difficult getting the vendor side setup. And it seems like it needs one master report that will show all information on it. For now, we have to usually pull 2 reports and combine them to get all of the informaton we need. What do you like best about ClubRunner?

ClubRunner is exactly what we needed! We developed our new website with every component that we wanted. It's easy to create and the support team is outstanding! We've occasionally had questions and we get responses same day or next day, often with links to video directions. Our organzation's website coordinator says this is her favorite platform that she's ever used. I'm not a techy person but have been able to easily upload design components onto our website. Our members have found logging on to be easy and the site to be intuitive. We also LOVE that ClubRunner has an app so that you can access member info from your phone. This company and its product is phenomenal and we highly recommend it. SO glad we switched over to ClubRunner for Altrusa District Twelve! Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about ClubRunner?

What problems is ClubRunner solving and how is that benefiting you?

We wanted to be able to have more information on our website available to our members with easy access to it in the "members only" section, in addition to the public part of the site . ClubRunner does this. We wanted a way for members of one club to be able to get the contact information of members in other clubs so that they could connect more easily. What do you like best about Nimble AMS?

Support staff is a big plus on a day to day basis. Support is a big issue especially when you are learning a new system. The Nimble 'app' built on Salesforce works great. Occassionally we come across a bug but Nimble is always right on top of it to get the fix out. Another PLUS.

Updates come 3 times a year right after Salesforce's. Nimble makes the updates easy, easier than any other system I've worked with. (But you are alway still beholding to Salesforce.)

I have worked with other AMSs before, the one feature I love is the Express Pay URL. What's so special? When your membership belongs to a company and employees are members by default, your main contact may be the company owner. If you send an electronic renewal invoice the owner, he/she will most likely pass that along to the A/P department - who is NOT going to create an account and log in and may not even be able to see the invoice directed at the owner. With Express Pay URL - you send the link to the owner, he/she forwards the email and ANYONE can pay the invoice online w/out logging in. All they need is an active credit card.

Nimble is always ready to hear how they can improve their product and with each release there is something that either works better or is new. They do not let their product get stale. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Nimble AMS?

The person - account setting is fine, works great. But it does present challenges when you try to work with 3rd parties who 'integrate' with Salesforce. The person-account is something they need to understand and handle, which evidently is not common. You cannot 'create contacts' directly from an API, you have to let Salesforce create the person-account, which will automatically create the connected 'contact' object and be properly linked. This is Nimble's problem only because Nimble uses the person-accounts setting of Salesforce.

The basic Nimble license (based on a Salesforce PLATFORM license) does not include several objects that Salesforce itself might include if it were a regular Salesforce license. (Campaigns is one example). You may need to make sure you have the correct licenses for objects you will need.

When we first went live in 2017, Nimble didn't have a lot of hands on training for those who would be administering Nimble and Salesforce. I believe this may have improved since then. I wish they had short 'how-to' videos for super-users/admins. They have great documentation, but I am the "show-me" kind of learner.

Understanding that they are not the Salesforce guru for you & their best expertise is their own product - at the beginning, not being already a Salesforce guru myself, it was painful figuring out what was Salesforce and what was Nimble. I get it now, but not so much when I started. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What problems is Nimble AMS solving and how is that benefiting you?

Our complex online join needed us to tweak the Community Hub, but is working great. We reduced all physical paper needed to be submitted in order to be considered as a member. We do not let anyone join automatically w/out a human review, but the process is so much better now.

The member web interface is almost out-of the box. It is easy now for our members to buy products, register for events, and edit their own data online.

The annual renewal is done with payments online using the Express URL featurer after the bulk renewals are run - No more mailing of renewal notices and hardly any checks have to be processed.

Easy way to manage committees, new events, and manage the relationships of people to companies and companies to companies in rosters. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
